Royal Detailing & Sanitation

Vehicle Detailing and Home Sanitation from the Comfort of Home.

Brennen and Dalton, best friends and cousins with entrepreneurial spirits, longed to solve an everyday problem.

They knew they didn’t want to reinvent the wheel- they simply wanted an existing “wheel” to be made better. Speaking of wheels, Brennen and Dalton remembered that they both took pride in maintaining their vehicles.

Royal Detailing and Sanitation was born.

In February 2020, Brennen and Dalton approached Biaka Works to help them develop a new business: a mobile vehicle detailing and home sanitation service.

The Goal

The Royal team had some opinions about the visual direction of their brand, but were open to Biaka Works’ direction and vision for how they could stand out against the competition. The Royal team gave Biaka Works the liberty to lead the design direction, so we got to work.

The Discovery

Every Brand Identity package with Biaka Works begins with the crucial Discovery Phase. We firmly believe that your business or organization already has a unique brand, and it’s our job to ask the best questions and work with you to discover and verbalize your one-of-a-kind identity.

Since Dalton and Brennen didn’t have specific preferences for the aesthetic of their brand, we began the discovery stage by researching similar businesses in Royal’s industry. After observing the style that most mobile cleaning services were using locally, we branched out to national companies. We found that the styles of auto-related businesses often had the same look and feel. We approached Dalton and Brennan with our research and observations, to which co-owner Dalton said,

“We trust your vision and what you think will help us stand out among our competition!”

A signature brand design with Biaka Works will ensure that you fit within your industry’s niche, but your brand won’t go unnoticed. We begin the design process with industry-specific design research to ensure that your brand targets and connects with your ideal customer while setting you above the competition.

The Design

Royal’s brand design revolves around their businesses’ central objective: to make their clients feel like royalty. Auto and home detailing and sanitation are services that drastically elevate the quality of life for Royal’s clients, and every one of their customers receives a posh “royal treatment”.

After extensive imagery exploration with this objective in mind, our team created a branding suite featuring chess pieces (in particular, the Rook and Knight). The Rook represents the client’s castle, the home, and the Knight represents the client’s carriage, the vehicle.

The finished brand identity reflects a timeless, somewhat retro style that instills trust in the quality of work, while also bringing a fresh and current look to the home and auto sanitation scene.

“I explored multiple imagery concepts for the Royal brand suite, but the chess pieces were a clear winner. They communicate the concept of royalty without being cheesy or literal, and also provide that timeless, trustworthy identity that Royal wants to be associated with to their customers. The poppy, navy, and royal blue color palette appeal to a wide audience, and remind one of classic Americana brands.”

-Avery Michaels, Lead Designer

“When I started researching icons and logos, I was immediately reminded of the Ferrari and Ford Mustang logos for the auto part of the business. This led to the connection to the Knight chess piece, which prompted the Rook to represent home.”

-Biaka Zaidarhzauva, Creative Director

The Feedback

Royal Detailing and Sanitation’s branding success is the result of tight communication and understanding of a clear goal. We are exceptionally thankful for Brennen and Dalton for trusting us to bring their company’s brand to life. It is without a doubt one of our favorite projects to date! Roughly a year after partnering with Biaka Works to launch their company, Royal is transitioning to full-time home and auto detailing and sanitation!
